"Lori Cullen has a wonderfully angelic voice that sheds new light on the most unexpected songs"
~ Ron Sexsmith about Calling for Rain
The release features two strikingly original songs including Away So Long, winner of the 2005 Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award; Calling for Rain is brimming with classic songs by Joni Mitchell, Bruce Cockburn, Gordon Lightfoot, Randy Newman, Bruce Cockburn, Richard Thompson, Harry Nilson, Henry Mancini and Irving Berlin. A collection of hand picked mature songs that highlight the craft of song writing and the emotional power of a direct and intimate lyric.
