Now in its ninth year, the “Discoveries” series owes a great deal to Toronto-based publicist Jane Harbury and Hugh’s Room who continue to work together show-casing an eclectic group of artists, most of whom are just beginning their creative journeys. On this particular evening Jane will feature: Melanie Brulee (think Edith Piaf meets Eartha Kitt on the way to visit Stevie Nicks); Augusta Campoli who was is as talented as she is stubborn (she was told to try acting at a singing competition and the next year returned and took first prize!) and now at the ripe old age of thirteen is starting her professional career; Brad Fillatre is a singer-songwriter who has relocated from the East Coast to Toronto and released his debut solo recording “For Your Weakness” in 2011. Finally a singer that comes from pop royalty, Zoe Sky Jordan (a young girl whose influences include Rickie Lee Jones and Joni Mitchell) will also hit the Hugh’s Room stage. Prepare to be impressed!
