NEW YORK 77 Blue Mercury Coup, DJ Steve Rock and more!
Bovine Sex Club
542 Queen Street West
w - bovinesexclub.com
During her seven year residency in New York, where she performed as a night club singer and dancer, Desiree became enamoured with stories of the nascent NYC punk scene of the 70’s, where art students, bored kids and lower-west side deviants created their own earth-shattering sound. Back in Toronto only a few short weeks, she set to work to bring classic punk back to Queen West.
NEW YORK 77 is primed to be an outrageous night of loud, fast, out of control rock ‘n’ roll. This is no nostalgia trip: it’s a vital injection of the music that changed the world and continues to influence bands and alternative culture worldwide. After the big party to kick things off on July 25th, NEW YORK 77 will be a monthly event at the Bovine. Watch club listings for the exact dates of future events.
