Pantages Hotel is really taking things up a notch this year to ring in 2010. On December 31st you can enjoy the music of Robert Scott and Great Bob Scott, while enjoying a "Tapas" style buffet and a champagne toast at midnight. Jaymz Bee of JAZZ.FM91 will provide groovy tunes between sets and take care of the official countdown.

2010 looks like it will be the year pianist Robert Scott becomes a worldwide phenomenon. Robert is celebrating his birthday (which actually falls on Dec. 31) and will also celebrate the fact that his song "Hollywood Is Dead" will soon be released worldwide in the spring as a brand new single for Michael Buble. Why not end 2009 with a night full of laughs! Yuk Yuk’s founder Mark Breslin will have you rolling in the aisles with his handpicked crop of the finest comedians in the country, making for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve.

This year will feature Glen "That Canadian Guy" Foster and Nikki Payne, and also star Kenny Robinson, Jen Grant, Rob Pue, Sam Easton and Terry Clement. Start your New Year’s Eve off right with 3 hours of great live concerts beginning at 5PM.

It begins with Diana Krall recorded live in Paris, then British trumpet player Guy Barker and vocalist Ian Shaw with a live performance recorded in our JAZZ.FM91 Performance Hall. We bring it all home with the legendary Sinatra ’57 in Concert performance recorded live in Seattle, Washington.

Jaymz Bee’s New Year's Eve Special takes over at 8PM! Whether you are in a taxi between parties, hosting a cocktail party or having a quiet night at home, Jaymz will add to your evening with a mix of up tempo tunes with a Las Vegas edge. Frank, Sammy, Peggy, Buddy, Dinah - and some people with last names too! Timeless treasures from Jeff Healey, Terra Hazelton, Jim Galloway, Peter Appleyard and Alex Pangman will also be featured. It’s the perfect soundtrack for your New Year's Eve festivities! The first three hours of this four hour jazz party will also be repeated at midnight.

Then join us at 9AM New Year’s Day for a 4 hour look back at 2009. Hosted by Brad Barker, JAZZ.FM91 will feature the best and brightest of ’09 and year-end favourites picked by each JAZZ.FM91 host. This special will be re-broadcast at 1PM.
