HAPPY FINGERS: A TRIBUTE TO THE PIANO ($20)
April 13 is the birthday of Happy Fingers host/creator Jaymz Bee, this piano tribute will also feature special guest vocalists such as Lyne Tremblay, Sonya Cote and Sophia Perlman. Six piano greats are featured: Adam Makowicz, Adrean Farrugia, David Restivo, Waylen Miki, Elizabeth Shepherd and Robert Scott will perform on a Steinway grand piano (courtesy of Remenyi House of Music).

From the U.S.: KENNY RANKIN IN CONCERT ($30)
Kenny Rankin has had his songs recorded by jazz greats Carmen McRae, Mel Torme and Peggy Lee. He performed on Bob Dylan's landmark 1965 album "Bringing It All Back Home" and has performed on the Tonight Show more than 20 times. Paul McCartney asked Kenny to sing his version of the Beatles hit "Blackbird" when he and John Lennon were inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. He has more than fourteen recordings, some of which will be available along with an autograph session after the show.

Multi-talented Maestro Benjamin Zander is coming to Toronto for two shows at Roy Thompson Hall. As a prominent Mahler interpreter and specialist, he will conduct Mahler's Symphony No. 5 as well as deliver pre-concert talks from the stage to all members of the audience.
There are few conductors on the planet with as much love and passion as Maestro Zander, who is also author of the best seller "The Art of Possibility". JAZZ LIVES
JAZZ.FM91's annual, fundraising concert JAZZ LIVES returns for its fourth year with another outstanding line-up of internationally-renowned performers as well as rising stars on Thursday May 8, 2008 at Convocation Hall in Toronto.
This years event includes world renowned jazz vocalists Ian Shaw, Patricia Barber, Bob Dorough and musicians such as Bill McBirnie, Thompson Egbo Egbo and Peter Appleyard. The musical director is trombonist Russ Little and the house band features Tom Szczesniak (piano) Scott Alexander (bass) and Brian Barlow (drums).
