Launch your weekend with Lula's Friday Jazz Series! Each week, Lula Music and Arts Centre presents top Latin and world jazz trios and quartets to enhance your after work cocktail or dining hour.

Come for just the show or book a table for the night. The $39 dinner special includes a dance lesson and show package including an introductory salsa lesson followed by a live salsa orchestra. What a deal!

Andria Simone's talent as a vocalist has never been in question. More a force of nature than an instrument, it's a voice that can send shivers up your spine while tugging at your heart. Her role models are such powerhouse singers as Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Amy Winehouse, and she does them proud on "Evolve".

The past year has been busy for Andria and Those Guys. In June, they won the Hennessy Talent Quest, a prestigious international competition for new musical talent gaining her adoring fans on both sides of the Atlantic. In October, they were chosen to be a major part of the 6th Annual Lancaster (UK) Music Festival in the U.K., performing a marathon seven shows in six days.

This not-to-be-missed event begins with a guest performance by Frank Ryan, with Andria Simone and Those Guys launching the sophomore album, "Evolve" afterwards.

Canadian blues musician Harry Manx exploits his signature East-meets-West style to great effect at every turn, mastering the Mohan Veena (a 20-string sitar-guitar hybrid) as easily as he does the lap steel guitar, the harmonica, the stomp box and the banjo.

His secret lies at the intersection of blues, folk, country and Indian classical music, a compelling combination that hypnotizes audiences with its quiet, uplifting warmth.

Enjoy an evening in tribute to the world's first professional crooner, Bing Crosby as Roger Clown, Drew Jurecka and Gavin Hope honour the man himself. On April 23, the band features musicians Tony Quarrington and George Koller, will perform hits such as Accentuate The Positive, I Surrender Dear and Swinging On A Star.
