Harold López-Nussa was born in Havana and at the age of 8, he began his piano studies. In the past decade he has performed at important international venues in Paris, London, San Francisco, Oslo, Barcelona and Tokyo. He has received significant national and international awards including First Prize and the Audience Prize of the Solo Piano Competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Switzerland, on July 2005.
Harold is joined by his brother Ruy Lopez-Nussa and bassist Jorge Sawa Perez. Fans of Cuban traditional music, classical and/or jazz are guaranteed to have an unforgettable night with Lopez Nussa Trio.

McMichael are launching a new art exhibit on October 10 entitled "Morrice & Lyman in the company of Matisse". Also this month an event called "Arabian Nights" (Friday October 17) which features music from Africa and the Middle East. It features Maryem, Yvette, and Ernie Tollar; Waleed Abdulhamid; Ravi Naimpally; and Demetri Petsalakis.
On Thursday October 30 Tony Quarrington returns to McMichael with a show called "Emily Songs" where he and his friends will perform songs inspired by the art and writings of Emily Carr. Tony will be joined by Julie Michels, Brian Dickinson, and Jane Bunnett, is inspired by the art and writings of Emily Carr.
